Query: Hello, I am trying to find out more about which Kennedy or King or other related families. My Vance's were in TN as early as ca 1800. They lived in Knoxville TN, Strawberry Plains TN and surrounding areas. They married into Kennedy, King, Cannon, Watt, Walker, Wilmuth, Steele, etc. My gr gr gr grandad James Vance Jr married Margaret King. I do not know her parents. My gr gr gr gr grandad Jame Vance Sr married Mary Kennedy. I do not know her parents but I think she may have been the daughter of a Rev Kennedy. Many of these families drifted to OR, MO, KY, TX, OH, etc. If you have information that would help me figure out my Kennedy/ King relationship I would appreciate it. Query: I've recently become aware of 2 people and I'm wondering if there is some connection between them and my family,they are Luvenia (Penny)Pulley and Soloman Richardson(died May 1, 1899?). Luvenia may have been from the Spring Hope, North Carolina area. My father's mother was named Lourinda Pulley Allen and her father may have been a Richardson. Query: Iam looking for the parents and other family of Joseph Newin Colvard and his wife Elizabeth (Lizzie) Jane Phillips. I am one of the 3 granddaughters that is looking for who their parents was and their ancestries was. I do not know my grandfathers birthday. Name of Ancestor: Mrs. Cynthia Overton AVERY
Query: Trying to find proof of marriage of Mrs. Cynthia Overton AVERY to William McCUTCHEON. Cynthia was born in NC in 1790 and married Vinson AVERY in 1809. They had one son. After his death she married (we think) William McCutcheon. They had a son in 1812 and then divorced. Cynthia and sons moved to MO. Would like proof of marriage or divorce. Thank you.

Query: I am attempting to prove that my 4th great-grandmother, Margaret W. Elms who is buried at Flint Hill Baptist Church, York County, SC, is the daughter of Augustus Alexander based on the following facts. Augustus' will of 1842 leaves a slave to the children of his daughter Margaret, wife of John Ellams. Obituary from THE 'RALEIGH REGISTER AND NC GAZETTE' of July 20, 1839: "In Mecklenburg, in the 40th year of her age Mrs. Margaret W. Elms, consort of John Elms." (RRw, Reel 14, NC Archives). In published genealogies which do not follow her line, she is listed as Margaret Washington Alexander. From census records, gravestones, and wills, Johns children were: Augustus Alexander Elms b. 1822, d. 13 Aug. 1859 Mary A. Elms b. 1824, d before 1872 Eliza R. Elms b. 12 Dec. 1827, d. 26 Mar. 1855 James A. Elms b. 3 May 1829, d. 20 June 1862 John W. Elms b. 1832, d. 3 May 1899 William Elms b. 1835, d. before 1860 Does anyone have any information to disprove my conclusion? If so, I would appreciate knowing where I went wrong.

Query: Arendell, Caroline E. b. 1811, Franklin Co.,NC; seeking information on parents & siblings. I believe she is descended from Thomas Arendell, Jr.b. Nov 7, 1751, Franklin Co. through his son Richard, b. 1788 Franklin Co. Three of Thomas Jr.'s sons Richard, William, and Thomas Boon, a grandson Allick Duke Arendell, and Caroline & her husband Thomas B. Sanders were all in Morehouse Parish LA in the 1850's. If anyone has any info on this Arendell family please contact me. I have quite a bit of information on the Arendells which I am putting into a book to published soon. Query: I am looking for an Annie Robinson she was married to Oscar Williams. They had two known children Maggie Williams who was born in1879 and a son David Williams. There was also a Robert Williams whose name was on the Miller Roll of 1909. He may have been a brother. We believe they were from the Blowing Rock area. Maggie married someone from Brunswick Co. So they may have lived in that area for a while. later Oscar and Annie moved to Fla where they died in Jacksonville. Any info would be great!

Name of Ancestor: Parker, Peter
Query: I searching for the ancesters of Peter Parker who owned property in Chowan and Perquimans Counties between 1800 and 1839 when he died intestate. He was married to Elizabeth and had one surving daughter named Ann F. who was born in 1838 in Chowan. He is believed to have been the son of Elisha Parker 2, and the nephew of Jacob N. Parker who died in 1842 with interest in the Bellgrade and Parker Fishery. Jacob's children were George and Anna Mariah, and his wife was Harriet.

Query: I seek any relatives who are of the family--Komarovsky (or Komarovskii) This family came from Khodorkov Ukraine but may have other connections. Khodorkov (Khodorkiv in Ukrainian) was a village in Zhitomir Oblast of Ukraine somewhat west of Kiev. It is not far west of the better known town of Kornin. The war has scattered the survivors of this family and I seek them and knowlege of the town Khodorkov.

Query: J.D. was born in Meclklenburg county 10/13/1798 and died in Cabot Arkansas, Lonoke county on 9/10/1869. He married Deborah Polk Campbell in Meck. Cnty on 12 /16 /1817. J.D. was my G.G.G. grandfather and I am interested in learning about his life, (or that of any other Smith) in Mecklenburg county aswell as any other information that anyone can provide on the Smith family including, but not at all limited to, the origens of the family; and, also, any connections with the Polk family. Query: Searching for information on William "Billy" Davis, m. to Phebe Isbell 1817 in Surry Co., NC--lived on 200 acres near Danbury, Stokes Co. which now includes part of Surry County. Had 3 children: William Riley, Sally Elnor, and Harden. Billy died 1822--Phebe sold land around 1828 and moved with her father, Jason Isbell, to KY. Name of Ancestor: David Allen
Query: I am seeking any and all information about David Allen who was born in 1714 possibly in NJ and died after 1786 in NC, Surry County. Daivd owned a saw mill and Iron Works in Wilkes county. His wife is Unknown to me. One of his son's is Captaon Adoniram Allen, aka Teges. The Allen family went from Wilkes into Yancey County and later to Clay County KY. I am interested in Allen's earlier than David as I am trying to confirm his links to the family of Samuel Allen and Mercy Wright of Northhampton MA. Any help or info is apprecieated.
