On my grandfather's WWI draft registration card, he states he was born in Grady, NC in 1889. On other papers, he was born in Alexander County, NC. All the other parts of his family, parents, cousins, uncles etc., lived in Hiddenite and Gwaltney's Township, Alexander County. Was there back then a Grady, NC that is not there now? The only one I find now is way over on the east side of the state.
